" Your Mother wear Combat Boots " still an abuse for US Military Women

JNN 29 Jan 2011 : In the WW ll vietnam war this Phrase” Your Mother wear Combat Boots ”  was introduced in the American society , which was the abuse for any body in the society.

As Due to heavy losses on the war front and due to excessive duties of the Combat Soldiers ,and as the Soldiers were under heavy depression , and the suicidal rate was increasing alarmingly in the american Soldiers , so to control this phenomenon , psychologists were consulted who suggested that the best way to reduce depression and release pressure for the soldiers is to let them have facility to have sex with women , which may release their pressure , and may also reduce depression , due to long service and for being away from there homes for long periods. But as it was not possible for the High Command to release the soldiers from there duties , and allow leave for them , so they can go home and get relax , with their partners , at this time of war , so another Plan was Made , under which Women from back home were recruited in the army , so they can be sent to the war front , not for the combat , but to relax the combat Soldiers  , and there duty was just to relax the depressed Soldiers by letting them use themselves , as there sex slaves , or in other words whores were recruited in the US Army , to maintain the morale of the  soldiers and to keep the combat soldiers out of depression .

As before WW  II there were no Women recruits in the US Army, So as the details of these Female recruitments were leaked in the public , so since that day it became an abuse in the  american society , but with the time it has sub sided, as then after wards female recruits were recruited in different core of the Military on regular basis. But to this day this phrase ” Your Mother Wear Combat Boots ” , is an abuse in the american society.

But the fact show that the mentality of the soldiers have still not change since then , as Reports indicate that nearly one third of women serving in the US military have been raped, with over two thirds having been otherwise sexually assaulted.

In 2008, 62 percent of those convicted of sexual assault or rape received punishments such as demotion, suspension, or a written reprimand.

“Almost a third of all women serving are raped, and over two thirds sexually assaulted, this problem is rampant and systemic,” National Public Radio has reported.

“Everybody’s supposed to have a battle buddy in the army, and females are supposed to have one to go to the latrines with, or to the showers – that’s so you don’t get raped by one of the men on your own side. But because I was the only female there, I didn’t have a battle buddy. My battle buddy was my gun and my knife,” Army specialist Chantelle Henneberry said.

Back in 2003, a survey of female veterans suggested that 30 percent of the women serving had been raped, while a study conducted in the following year on veterans seeking treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder indicated that 71 percent of the women said they had been sexually assaulted or raped while serving.

Jamie Leigh Jones recently reported that she had been gang-raped back in 2005, and had received severe injuries. An amendment has been added to the defense appropriations bill by Sen. Al Franken.

According to the amendment, defense contractors will be required to allow employees, wherever stationed, to access American courts in cases of rape or assault.
