JNN 24 July 2103 Karachi : Terrorist attack on holy shrine of Hazrat Syedda Zainab (AS) has sparked off stiff protest across Pakistan. From Karachi to Skardu, Shia Muslims wearing black suits and armbands have come out of their houses and gathered on main roads. Their protest demonstrations are going on in all small and big cities of all the five provinces of Pakistan.
Pakistani Shiites have staged protest across the country to condemn attack on Sayyeda Zainab’s shrine in Syria on Saturday.
During the protest Sunni Muslims also took part and condemned the terrorist attack on the holy Shrine.
In Quetta, provincial capital of Baluchistan province, a rally is being taken out from Baltistani Imam Bargah.
Thousands of people have demonstrated in Pakistan’s southwestern city of Quetta to denounce the recent attack on the holy shrine of Hazrat Zaynab (AS) in Syria.
Chanting “Down with the USA, Down with Israel and Down with Al Saud,” the angry demonstrators protested against the attack on the shrine of the granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The protesters blamed the U.S., Israel, and Saudi Arabia for fanning the flames of unrest in Syria and sowing seeds of discord among Muslims.
On Sunday, similar rallies and protests against the attack were held in several cities across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Tando Allahyar, Multan, Jhelum, and Mandi Bahauddin.
Protesters in Karachi demanded that the United Nations and Muslim countries take notice of the attack and condemn it as an act of terrorism.
Reports from rural Sindh say that the mourners beat their chest and raised the slogans of Ya Hussain (AS) and Ya Mahdi (AS) when they began protest from the shrine of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai at Bhit Shah.
A rally was held in Matli, another was staged in Tarai, Golarchi and others were being planned in other parts of district Badin. In Mirpurkhas, rally was being taken out near Press Club of Kot Ghulam Mohammad and also in Tando Allah Yar. Protest demonstrations are being planned to be held in different areas of district Khairpur, Nawabshah, Dadu, Jacobabad, Sukkur and Shikarpur. In Larkana, the rally is to be taken out from Dargah Jaral Shah Bukhari to Jinnah Bagh Chowk.
Protest was being staged at China Chowk and Gamba in Skardu. Similar sort of the protest is being staged in Gilgit and rest of Gilgit-Baltistan province.
Reports from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Bhalwal, and Peshawar say that protest was being staged to condemn the takifiri terrorist attack on the sacred shrine of grand daughter of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle and Prophet of Allah
The protests were called by Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslmeen, Tehreek-e-Islami, Shia Ulema Council, Imamia Students Organization, Jafria Students Organization, Asghria Students Organization, Sindh Shia Organization, Pegham-e-Karbala Foundation, Nasiraan-e-Imam Foundation, local Shia organizations and Matami Anjumans.
The protestors have demanded of Islamic Scholars and Ummah to issue fatwa against the takfiri terrorists who are desecrating the holy shrines of Ahl-e-Bait (AS) and their companions in Syria and other places.
On Friday, mortar shells hit the shrine, which is located in the suburbs of the Syrian capital Damascus. The shells were fired by the foreign-backed militants operating inside Syria.

Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. According to the UN, more than 90,000 people have been killed and millions of others displaced in the violence.
Damascus says the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the militants are foreign nationals.
The Syrian government says the West and its regional allies — especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey — are supporting the militants.
