ISIS Takfiri Terrorists Destroyed Graves of the Prophets , Sufi Shrines and Mosques Revered by Both Sunni and Shia Iraqis

Sufi Shrine Demolished by ISIS Terrorists

JNN 12 July 2014 Baghdad : ISIS Takfiri Terrorist who overran Mosul last month have demolished ancient shrines and Graves of the Prophets revered By Iraqi Sunni and Mosques Used by the Iraqi Shia in and around the historic northern Iraqi city, residents and social media posts said Saturday.

At least two Graves of the Prophets of Islam , four shrines to Sunni Arab or Sufi figures have been demolished, while six Shiite mosques, or Husseiniyahs ( Imambargah ) , have also been destroyed, across militant-held parts of northern Nineveh province, of which Mosul is the capital.

Pictures posted on the Internet by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) showed the Sunni and Sufi shrines were demolished by bulldozers, while the Shiite mosques and shrines were all destroyed by explosives.

The photographs were part of an online statement titled “Demolishing shrines and idols in the state of Nineveh.”

Takfiri terrorists of so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has destroyed the grave of Prophet Younus ‘Jonah’ (P.B.U.H) after getting control of some parts of Mosul Iraq.

Local residents confirmed that the buildings had been destroyed and that terrorists had occupied two cathedrals as well.

“We feel very sad for the demolition of these shrines, which we inherited from our fathers and grandfathers,” said Ahmed, a 51-year-old resident of Mosul.

“They are landmarks in the city.”

An employee at Mosul’s Chaldean cathedral said terrorists had occupied both it and the Syrian Orthodox cathedral in the city after finding them empty.

They removed the crosses at the front of the buildings and replaced them with the Islamic State’s black flag, the employee said.

Christians are also worried about their holy places as the ISIS insurgents destroyed the statue of the virtuous Miriam in the churches.

In Iraq, there are nearly 12 ancient archaeological sites and Nineveh province has lots of archaeological landmarks, temples and other historical sites. One of the most famous is a shrine for Prophet Yunus (Jonah).

ISIS-led terrorists overran Mosul last month and swiftly took control of much of the rest of Nineveh, as well as parts of four other provinces north and west of Baghdad, in an offensive that has displaced hundreds of thousands and alarmed the international community.

But the Latest Scenario is that the Iraqi Forces and the Iraqi Volunteers have Jointly started an Operation Clean up in the Different Provinces and Districts and One By One they are re captured by them , and the ISIS terrorists are on the Run , even the Leader of the ISIS Abu Bakar has been severely injured in an attack by the Iraqi Air force Raid , and since then is on the Run , and there are very strong chances that he may not survive the injuries , and May succumb to his injuries.

The city, home to two million residents before the offensive, was a Middle East trading hub for centuries, its name translating loosely as “the junction.”

Though more recently populated mostly by Sunni Arabs, Mosul and Nineveh were also home to many Shiite Arabs as well as ethnic and religious minorities such as Kurds, Turkmen, Yazidis and other sects.

The Islamic Unity conference called for greater convergence among Muslim groups. The theme of this year’s event was the Quran and its role in unity.

“The holy Qur’an has the biggest role in uniting the Ummah, the holy Quran is the only book that all muslims recognize, there is no book or writing that comes close to the holy Quran. If we base our research and lifestyle on the holy book we will then find unity,” Molavi Abdol Hamid, a leading Iranian Sunni religious leader said.

Unity week in Iran is coming to an end, this week all Muslims Sunni or Shia celebrate the birth of the prophet of Islam. Religious scholar Ali al-Hakim said change towards Islamic unity is gradual.

“Any form of change or development should be in a form of a gradual process, it starts definitely with people’s minds with those who are thinkers.”

In the final speech at the event, Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, The head of Iran’s Expediency Council called on Muslims of all different sects and groups to unite in the face of attempts to drive them apart.

“We are still far from the goals of this conference set years ago, I urge the leaders and clerics to double their efforts, as we really need the unity in the world of Islam at this time.”

In a final communiqué participants urged Muslims around the world to be wary of enemies’ plots that aim to create rifts among them. They also condemned any such attempts to wreak havoc on the Muslim world.

The 27th Islamic Unity Conference came to an end urging Muslims to unite on commonalities and using the holy book of Islam the Quran as a guide.

This Lebanese MP emphasized that the World of Islam and Arab world are in urgent need of unity to be able to counter terrorist operations and acts of sabotage.

This Lebanese legislator said that the issue of Palestine has been excluded from the top priorities of the Islamic communities, while Muslims are engaged in clashes against each other.

Saudi Anhilating Sunni Sect of IslamJNN 04 Apr 2013 :  Like many social and biological systems, the success of religious movements is often a function of securing some type of evolutionary advantage. In simpler terms: better ideologies win while inferior ideologies vanish. Moses challenged Pharaoh and staged a rebellion with a bunch of slaves and his religious movement emerged successful. Jesus challenged the corruption of his time and offered an alternative ideology and his religious movement became victorious. In the thriving trade city of Mecca and among the warring tribes of Yathrib, Mohammad offered a new way of life and soon the entire Arabian Peninsula saw the rise of Islam. What was common among these powerful movements was the same fundamental evolutionary advantage: they offered greater social justice and a better way of life for their followers. Continue reading
